Marketing Intern
Team Structure
As marketing intern, you will be part of the commercial team reporting to the head of sales and marketing. In this internship you will mainly support in the marketing activities related to our Hotel De Durgerdam and Restaurant De Mark but will also be involved in our second hotel currently under development, project Amstel 111. You will gain hands-on experience in lifestyle hospitality marketing, working across projects. This is a learning-first internship where you will be exposed to brand building, content creation, events, PR, and commercial thinking in a small, entrepreneurial team.
What You Will Do & Learn
- Develop communications material (newsletters, campaigns, presentations, fliers, invitations, hotel collateral, etc.)
- Manage our social channels (Instagram, Pinterest, etc.) and review platforms (Google reviews, TripAdvisor, etc.)
- Create content (copy, images, video) for various marketing & communication purposes and assist in photoshoots
- Manage our websites and ensure they are optimized and well maintained
- Create and propose ideas for events, collaborations, and marketing activations across hotels, bars & restaurants
- Support in organizing events and press launches (This may include event set up, logistics, liaising with operations, decorations, goodie bags, finding partners, designing invitations, promoting event, etc.)
- Support the marketing and communications team on daily operational and administrational tasks
- Keep third-party listings and marketing portals up to date and on brand, including our team drive and content.
- Contribute to email marketing campaigns for different channels and audiences.
- As we are a small team, you will also sometimes support our sales and reservations team and support them in sales and events (including but not limited to sending personalized proposals, doing site inspections, proactively reaching out to potential clients, etc.)
- Research and report on city events, hospitality trends, and cultural happenings to inspire campaigns.

- Possess strong oral and written communication skills in English and Dutch
- Follow a study in the field of hospitality, marketing, communications, business administration and looking for an internship of at least 5 months
- Experience with Canva, Indesign, Adobe Photoshop, copywriting is a plus (but not a must!)
- You have an understanding of Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite
- Are comfortable working on-site and being present during events, which may occasionally include evenings or weekends
- Are enrolled in a study program for which this internship is part of the curriculum (mandatory internship preferred)
